On Thursday September 15, the Young Title Professionals committee of the Michigan Land Title Association hosted a fall social mixer in Grand Rapids. The Young Title Professionals committee is open to those in the title business who are either 40ish years old and younger; or have been in the industry seven years or less. This is the second mixer hosted by the Young Title Professionals committee; the social mixers are designed to be a way for young title professionals to meet outside of the office, to share ideas about the industry, and to meet peers and make connections.
The event was held at J. Gardellas Tavern, located in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids, and drew Young Title Professionals from across the industry; underwriters, agents, servicers, even board members snuck in! Those in attendance enjoyed a private room on the upper level that offered great views of the busy street below. A wide variety of appetizers were served and the open space allowed for small groups to congregate and discuss not only current topics in the title industry, but also important things like Michigan and Michigan State football.
It is fair to say a great time was had by all, and the Young Title Professionals look forward to the next opportunity to gather with peers and share an evening of growth, camaraderie, and networking. Stay tuned to future communications from the Michigan Land Title Association on upcoming events.
